try defragmenting your hard disks
System Requirements for zoo tycoon 2 are;
Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP
Multimedia PC with a 733 MHz processor
256 MB RAM so that shouldn't be the problem...
oops, I missed the 1G hard disk, lol, that would be a problem if it was true, hehehe|||Not enough RAM. 512 MB is a drop in the bucket for a memory hungry game. Windows XP require 128MB just to run itself, let alone, run any other software that your computer runs in the background.
Bump up the RAM to minimum 1GB or better yet, max it out to whatever the motherboard can handle.|||are you serious a 1gb HD|||I think he meant 1 GB of HD space available.
I saw a thread on another forum about it, someone claiming there is a memory leak. they said if they saved and exited the game, then started it again, it was ok. It could've just been their system.
The game patch does make a point of saying that it provides:
"Overall performance improvement, with the most noticeable gains on mid-range and high-end machines. "
Not sure what that means, but it's worth a try. :) Here's the link:
