How can I update a video card?

I use Windows XP 2002 computer and I need a 128mb video card with support of pixel shader 2.0 (for the sims3) but mine is about 65mb. So should I update my card and how, or I need to buy a new one?

Thanks in advance!!!|||It depends, your computer may not be able to be upgraded at all.

We need your computer model and what company makes it in order to tell you.|||I would upgrade the card. You have to make sure what slot you have available in your computer before you buy the card though. If you have an on-board graphics chip as opposed to a graphics card, that has to be disabled at the same time as you are installing the new card.

Best idea is to take a photo of your computer internals and take it to a computer store that you trust and let them take a look at your motherboard slots. There's like 3 different types. (AGP, PCI etc) They will advise you.

Cheers
