im upgrading my vidoe card and sound card to play battlefield 2142 i have no idea what i have now can you tell without opening the pc and most likey its not good enought because it bought it in 2004 or 2005 so the video card has to be 128Mb Video card or more and the sound card has to be DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card where can i buy them online?|||go to froogle.google.com and type 512MB AGP card.......you get the cheapest card available on the internet or search for a better deal for them....its the same in case of Audio card toooo|||ebay|||ebay|||http://www.ebay.com
http://www.pricegrabber.com|||http://www.ebay.com|||start with the manufacture site of your pc to see what is already there...then you'll have a starting point...then you can search for the same types and probably find several listed on ebay, there are other places to get them from and that way you'll be sure to get what you pay for....tigerdirect, newegg, computergeeks, your manufacturers site may also have upgrade options available but I wouldn't generally buy the parts from the manufacturer as they are usually overpriced but at least they are guaranteed to work with your pc.|||To get some idea of what you already have, without opening the computer, in Windows XP do this:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type msinfo32 and click OK
4. In the left column, click Components then Display
On the right hand side of the window will be pretty much everything Windows knows about your video card.
Alternatively at step 4, click Sound Device to find information about your sound card.
