Can my computer support 128MB Video Card with Pixel Shader 2.0?

I'm not good at computer so I kinda need a step by step answer :S

I have a windows xp computer with a SiS Mirage Graphics card. I don't know how to check if my computer can support this new card.

I would really appreciate any help >_<|||GO to start- run - type dxdiag on the first will be your system model and brand, maindoard info and bios

also go to display and there will be your current video card

BRAND and Model , mainboard ,cpu and bios

and current video card will help me tell you if you need a AGP or pci-x card

SIS are usually build in cards,,,so to what you upgrade to I would need to know mainboard model.....or all ask above to make a educated guess

synn

a+

----------Update----------

Ok your system support Agp video card and DDR (1) memory. So you could get 1gig of DDR 400mhz and Agp card.

DDR 28$

Is your system a laptop or a desktop? If it's a laptop, there is no way to upgrade the video card to a Pixel Shader 2.0, which is a requirement, so you would need to upgrade.

If you have a desktop the you can upgrade your RAM to meet the requirements and buy a new video card.|||Edit : you Surely need a new PC

when EA announces the minimum requirements that means the PC will just RUN the game and you wont be able to actually Play the Game on 1 Frame per second

1 FPS means that when a character in game is going from kitchen to a room you have to wait for your PC (minimum requirements) something like 5 min to actually see the character reach the room

you need a new PC if you want to play that game

and about getting just a new VGA

its a dead end we need to know your mother board info(Name and product number will do example{ASUS P5Q}) to see if you can update it or not and im sure it wont support new stuff cuz its on SIS VGA and even if your motherboard has a slot for new VGA it should be AGP not PCI express and you wont be able to get a AGP VGA now days

anyways the choice is yours

if you would like to buy anything cheap(under 500) look at this question it might help you (not recommended)

and if you don't want to have any problem with Sims 3 and any other game for next 4-5 years with windows Vista and lots of other goodies i cant even start

this one is awesome (highly recommended) for 250 more you get 3X more performance compared to PCs on other question
